Quick start
- Create your workspace. Go to sign up, enter your business name and pick your address (e.g.
acme-plumbing). - Verify it’s you. We send a 6-digit code to your email or phone — no password to set or remember.
- Add your business details. Under Settings, add your contact info and banking details so they print on every quote and invoice.
- Add a customer, then a job. Capture the work, quote it, schedule it.
- Finish & invoice. Mark the job complete and turn it into an invoice in one tap.
Your workspace
When you sign up, FixApp creates a private workspace for your business at your-business.fixapp.co.za. That’s where you and your team sign in and work.
Everything you create — customers, jobs, quotes, invoices — lives inside your workspace and is invisible to every other business on FixApp.
Sign in from the main site too — FixApp routes you straight to your own workspace.
Customers
Keep everyone you work for in one list — name, phone, email, site address and private notes (gate codes, access details, preferences). Open a customer to see their full job history and start a new job for them in one tap.
Jobs
A job is the heart of FixApp. Capture what needs doing, who it’s for, the trade, priority, schedule date, who it’s assigned to and the site address.
Jobs move through clear stages:
From any job you can create a quote or an invoice that’s already linked to the customer — no re-typing.
Quotes
Build a quote from line items — description, quantity and unit price. FixApp adds 15% VAT and totals everything for you. Email it to the customer in one tap and track it: Draft → Sent → Accepted / Declined.
When a quote is accepted, convert it into an invoice — line items and all — instantly. Need to fix a typo? Open the quote and choose Edit items; the totals recalculate automatically.
Invoices
Invoices are auto-numbered (INV-0001…) and carry your business details and banking info so customers know exactly who to pay and how. Email them in a tap and mark them Sent → Paid as the money lands.
Your dashboard always shows the total still outstanding, so nothing slips through.
Business settings
Your business name, contact details, VAT number, payment terms and banking details live in Settings. They’re printed on every quote and invoice you send. Set them once when you start.
Security & privacy
No passwords — sign-in is via one-time codes to your email or phone, behind a human check and rate limits. Your workspace is isolated at the database level with row-level security, so no other business can ever see your data, and every change is logged.
FAQ
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. FixApp runs in any browser — phone, tablet or desktop. Add it to your home screen for an app-like shortcut.
- Do my customers need an account?
- No. Customers just receive your quotes and invoices by email — nothing to install or log into.
- Can I edit a quote or invoice after sending?
- Yes — open it and choose Edit items to change line items; totals recalculate automatically.
- How is VAT handled?
- VAT is added at 15% on top of your line-item subtotal (the South African standard rate).
- Is my data private?
- Completely. Each workspace is isolated with database-level row security — no business can see another’s data.
